Original PNG/JPEG uploads are decoded on your device. Free editing, PDF exports and saved project files stay in your browser; projects are not saved to our servers. Local font and example downloads do not send your book contents.
Studio exports send the prepared cover artwork and used text to our server temporarily. We do not store them. The browser crops the required edition panels and removes original metadata; original files, unused text and the complete saved project are excluded. Derivative artwork still contains your book content.
The export server processes bodies in memory and keeps a temporary delivery buffer for at most ten minutes to support idempotent retries. It logs neither request bodies nor artwork. It has no accounts, cloud projects or external AI generation.
Starting checkout temporarily saves a recovery draft in this browser using IndexedDB (up to one hour for the checkout round trip, ten minutes for export retries). Expired drafts are deleted on the next visit, or when the open editor timer expires. Clearing browser site data removes them. No cloud project is created. The billing service stores only export request hashes and debit receipts, not cover content; identical exports can retry for ten minutes after the first commit. Entitlement uses a signed HttpOnly session cookie. Payment details are handled by Stripe; TEST checkout does not charge real money. We use cookieless Plausible analytics hosted at jk.zxx.im on the formal domain to measure pages, referral sources, active tool use and export requests. It does not load on local/Preview URLs, payment-return pages or marked QA visits, and we honor the browser’s Do Not Track setting. Events use only actions and enumerated specification categories, never titles, authors, ISBNs, artwork or blurb text. Export events record successful file preparation and download requests; they do not prove an operating-system save. Verified LIVE payments are recorded separately by the payment service; TEST activity is excluded from LIVE revenue. Billing receipts and request hashes are retained up to 180 days; required transaction records may be kept longer. Contact coverwrapmaker@vezli.net for privacy questions.
